$75.00 - Team Membership
Covers the Club Membership. Members are required to participate in a minimum of (4) meetings, (2) fundraisers, and/or volunteering events.
$60.00 - Team Jersey
Jerseys are hooded UPF long sleeve fishing shirts with the club logo and our sponsorship logos. Jerseys are mandatory for fishing and at weigh-ins (ok if layered under things when it’s cold out). Our club is mostly funded by sponsorships and wearing team jerseys is a way to thank our sponsors.
$50 - $75 Boat Captain Support (for members without boats)
Will be collected from each angler at the meeting prior to the tournament in that month to help supplement the costs for the boat captains. This helps pay for fuel on the vehicle and boat. The captain fee will depend on the distance traveled from Cedar Rapids. Captain fee will be announced the month prior. The captain fee will be paid to the club director, prior to the tournament. If the captain refuses the payment, the funds will return to the club account. Each non-boater must pay this fee to fish.
Payments by Check can be made out to Eastern Iowa Bassmasters.
$12.00 - Paid directly to B.A.S.S.
Your angler must be a member of the B.A.S.S. to fish in any competition. This is a one-time yearly fee of $12. Once registered you will receive a B.A.S.S. ID number. you must provide that number to Eastern Iowa Bassmasters. You will need to renew this each year while your angler is a member of Eastern Iowa Bassmasters.
$TBD - State tournament entry fee.
This fee is determined by B.A.S.S. and will be determined before the state tournament.
$39.95 + $5 state fee - Boaters Certification
Boat captains between the age of 16-18 must obtain an Iowa Boating license. The online test and certificate can be found at the link provided.
Not everyone has a boat. We do everything we can to find volunteers to accommodate those that do not have a boat. If we do not have enough boats we will draw names for those that need a spot. Those that did not have a spot for the current tournament will be 1st to have a spot at the next tournament. All anglers without a boat are still welcome to fish from the banks at the event. We are always looking for volunteers for boats and captains.
All high school members must provide their own boat captain for each tournament. Additionally, once you have been in the club for two years at the Junior level, you also will be asked to provide your own captain.
Please speak with your club director for ideas on finding a captain if you need assistance.
